As a lawyer registered with the Istanbul Bar Association, I advise individual and corporate clients on litigation and preventive legal matters.
Background
Professional Background and Approach
After completing my law degree I was admitted to the Istanbul Bar Association and began practising. My work centres on corporate and commercial law, real estate, employment and contract law. I also act for individual clients in family, inheritance and criminal matters.
The pattern I see most often in practice is that a large share of disputes arise not from a legal error but from an understanding that was never put in writing at the outset of the relationship. My work therefore gives the contract stage, the recording of correspondence and the monitoring of deadlines the same weight as the litigation stage.
A realistic assessment is essential before a matter is accepted. No file is taken on without giving the client a clear picture of the available evidence, the likely timescales and the alternative routes to resolution. By its nature, legal work cannot guarantee an outcome; what is undertaken is that the matter will be conducted with care and on time.
For companies, an ongoing advisory relationship reduces later cost by ensuring that day-to-day agreements and corporate decisions are made in line with the legislation. The aim is to position law not as an obstacle in front of the business, but as an instrument that makes outcomes predictable.
The most valuable stage of a legal matter is usually the one before any dispute has arisen.
